Reception of citizens conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Law of Ukraine "On Public Appeals» №394 / 96-VR of 10.02.1996 year and in accordance with Decision of the Board of MFA of Ukraine of 18 December 2003 "On the introduction of unified standards of work with citizens of Ukraine in diplomatic missions and consular offices of Ukraine abroad and in the Central Office of the Foreign Ministry".
According to the approved Procedure, the reception of visitors in the Consular Section of the Embassy is carried out five times a week. The reception for citizens of Ukraine: every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday – from 10 a.m. till 12 p.m., Wednesday – from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. The reception of citizens carried out at the Embassy at the address: Woreda 17, Kebele 3, House 2116, Bole area, Addis Ababa.

In the case of a written appeal to the Embassy it should be noted first name, second name, middle name (if available), nationality, full address of residence, phone (fax) of the applicant and in details and, if possible, briefly describe the problem. The applicant also should sign the appeal and mark the date.
Applications are considered and solved within one month from the date of receipt. Ones that do not require further study - immediately, but not later than fifteen days from the date of receipt. If issues raised in the appeal cannot be resolved within one month, the head of diplomatic mission sets the necessary time for its consideration, and these terms reported to the person who filed the appeal. The common term issues raised in the appeal may not exceed forty-five days.
Upon reasonable written request of a citizen, the period of review may be shorter than the deadline established by this article.
Appeals of citizens who have benefits established by legislation are considered in priority basis.
